This is Blackjack Buff dot Com
Welcome to Blackjack Buff dot com. Are you a WINNER? Do you play Blackjack to WIN? I do. I am a WINNER and I play to WIN! The first thing I want to let you know is this, the Casino always has the advantage at Blackjack and it is up to you to cut the casino's edge and take advantage of the moment when you are HOTT. I have been playing Blackjack for decades now and I like to WIN and I play to WIN! That is just that. I estimate that I WIN > 80% of the times that I play Blackjack. I seldom pull off a BigWIN but I sleep better when I go home WINNING even only a buck or two. Whether you are a $5 bettor or like to hang at the high limit lounge, "Hi Limit!"(its a joke of mine) you can benefit with some basic principles. It takes patience to play by these principles. The key principle is never to 'Go Big' until you are playing with money that you just WON and never gamble with more than you can afford. Start with small bets and work your way up to the big ones.
Here are some good Principles to play Blackjack by:
Principle #1 - Always play by the basic Blackjack Strategy. You can find it online. It will tell you when you should Hit and when you should Stand. It is best to memorize the Basic Strategy but you can actually carry around a little chart or cheat sheet. The casinos don't mind. There are many varities of the stratagey. They are all very similar.
Principle #2 - When you WIN bet more. When you don't WIN bet less, or go all the way back to the table minimum bet.
Principle #3 - When you win one big hand or a few hands in a row return to the minimum table bet and start over again. Now you are making bets with money that you just won. You are reinvesting your WINNINGS! Now, keep increasing your bet so long as you win a hand. Do not increase your bet with greater than 1/2 the amount you won with you last hand. You actually don't have to increase you bet each time. This important thing to do is the first hand that you don't WIN you either decrease you bet or bet the table minimum.
Principle #4 - Decide on the amount that will make you leave a table. For me this amount is twice my buy in. If I buy in with $100.00 and my bankroll gets to $200.00 I will walk. I will certainly dabble from $190.00 - $200.00 with some small mininmun bets to see if I can keep the WINNING STREAK going. But, if I dabble I wil certainly walk away with $190.00. Now it is easy for me to say this. There have been times when I was down $1.00 and 'chased' it go get it back and then I was soon down $100.00. Money management is what it is all about.
Principle #5 - Never play an 8 deck game. Before you sit down ask the dealer how many decks there are. It is very simple. Try to find a single deck game or double deck game that pays 3:2 when you get Blackjack. Try to find a table that allows you to split Aces 3 times. $10 double deck games are still around but not easy to find. There are still a few casinos in Vegas that pay 3:2 on a Blackjack.
Principle #6 - Try to find a totally hand dealt game. This is nearly impossible. Most the cards are now shuffled by a machine I refer to as Sledge-a-matic(Remember Gallagher?)
Princple #7 - Hot Tip of the Day. If a dealer is sloppy and shows you his hidden cards take advantage of the moment. If a dealer is winking at you or signalling you when to hit and not to hit .... leave the table immediately. Always play fair and never cheat. By the way, card counting is not considered cheating but if a casino thinks you are counting they can actually ban you. I heard high limit player Ben Aflak was actually banned from the once World Famous Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, back in the day. Don't worry about getting banned. It just will not happen. If you do get banned I hope is after you took that casino to the cleaners. I call it the annual "Barbecue".
Principle #8 - Eat a good meal prior to playing, go easy on the free drinks and be rested.
Principle #9 - Have FUN and enjoy yourself. If there are a bunch of jerks around you, you don't like the dealer, the dealer doesn't like you, or you are not feeling good VIBES.... Just get up and walk. There are 100's of choices in Vegas. Yes, you can even play online. I don't recommend it. I figure online playing is for degenerate gamblers. I think the games are fair but they could or can be easily rigged. Do play online for free if you want to practice.
Principle #10 - Always provide your players card so the dealer can put you up on the game. After 15 mins and every 1/2 hour or so ask the dealer or the pitboss standing behind him if you are still registered on the game. This will keep management on their toes and on occassion you the machine will mess up and you won't get credit for you play. If for some reason you are their for a long time prior to your card being registered on the game always ask the pit boss if he can back up you play 15 mins or 1/2 an hour. You can only gain by this request.
Principle #11 - Prior to leaving Vegas or your comps that you have earned on your players card cash them in on whatever you can get. All casinos are different. It is your job to figure out how you earn comps. It helps to dress nice and be polite. Some casinos all you do is go to the pitboss or casino host after you are done playin and they will give you a comp for food or merchandise. You can only WIN by asking for a comp or a free buffet. The worst thing that can happen is the host will say no you did not play enough. There are at least 1 or 2 casinos still in Vegas if you are a known player all you need to do is ask for a free buffet and you will get on the spot. Unfortunately most Vegas buffets have gone away so just ask for a burger or a steak dinner if you played big time. By my calculations a $250.00 average bet with 4 - 6 hours of play at the Wynn will score you a free night.
Waiver: Gambling is a risky activity and there is no guarantee that you will win. There are many ways to win at Blackjack if you just increase your bets at the right time. This strategy is a safe way to play blackjack and I usually come out a winner. It is my motto to "ALWAYS GO OUT AHEAD" even if you just win a few bucks .... you will sleep better. If you don't win big, take a breather and try again next time.
Always be registered on the game with your casino players card. This will get you something just for playing. Always ask for free stuff from the host after playing. You can only win if he buys you dinner or provides a free night.
